The news - Anita 4.0 Remote Calibrations

Dear GMI Partners and Customers,

No need to send your hot bonders for calibration anymore!!!

We are pleased to inform you that the first Anita 4.0 Remote Calibrations have been successfully concluded, in cooperation with GMI end-users. Following a straightforward process to connect Anita 4.0 to a WiFi hotspot (just like you do with your smart phone or laptop), GMI engineers gained remote access to the equipment through internet.

With the support of Anita 4.0 users who were connecting appropriate Calibrators provided by GMI, as required, our Engineers performed remotely all necessary Temperature and Vacuum related verifications and adjustments, as dictated by the standard calibration protocol. Following the end of the calibration process, a thorough testing of the equipment was performed and updated software was uploaded, ensuring that GMI end-users always operate their equipment with the latest software version.

ANITA 4.0 Temperature and Vacuum Calibration screens. Gain and Offset parameters are adjusted remotely by GMI engineers, so as to ensure that measured values are within calibration tolerances.

The duration of the entire remote calibration and testing procedure was less than two (2) hours, while the equipment was NOT moved from its standard position in the workshop!

Thanks to this innovative procedure the end-user not only saves the hot bonder freight forwarding related expenses for sending it to GMI Aero or to a calibration centre, but, most importantly, greatly increases the availability of its hot bonders: instead of “losing” the bonding console for a couple of weeks, the equipment remains inoperative only for a couple of hours, i.e. as long as the remote calibration lasts…

If one adds the freight forwarding costs with the savings from additional availability of the equipment, it is obvious that economies of scale can be achieved thanks to this revolutionary methodology, enabled through to the enhanced connectivity characteristics and the innovative software of Anita 4.0.
